Real Estate Litigation, Real Estate Tax and Transactions
Our Real Estate practice group represents clients in a broad range of commercial real estate activities, including litigation and transactions. Our litigation team assists developers, investors, and condominium associations in real estate litigation, breach of warranty, construction defect, and other litigation concerns. Our transactional practice works with commercial real estate purchasers in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial properties and residential developments. We provide our clients with guidance relating to entitlements and zoning matters for the prospective development or transaction. We work with commercial owners and condominium management to produce easement agreements, leasing transactions, and financing for construction as well as ongoing use. Our real estate tax attorneys provide guidance to our transactional team to determine if any real estate tax incentives are available to help lower the real estate taxes and allow the transaction to move forward and succeed. Finally, our real estate tax team assists all our clients in analyzing their real estate taxes to ensure that the property is properly assessed and also assist developers and investors in reviewing the current real estate taxes for properties as well as the potential for an increase in the assessed value based upon the terms of the proposed transaction and final use of the property.
Our condominium practice represents condominium associations in litigation and transactional matters, assisting boards and their management companies from developer turnover, ongoing board legal concerns, transaction review, assessment management, and litigation. We help boards navigate the often-complex legal issues surrounding proper governance, loan and lien foreclosure, and day – to – day concerns.
