Matthew D. Patterson concentrates his practice in insurance defense and tort litigation representing defendants at the trial and appellate levels in varied matters including condominium litigation, premises liability, construction negligence, and all matters of other insurance defense cases. He also has extensive experience in AAA arbitration and UM/UIM arbitration, and oral argument experience before the First District Appellate Court of Illinois. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Patterson handled complex insurance defense cases for a small defense firm, and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Michael R. Panter (Ret.) of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Mr. Patterson graduated from Florida State University in 2011. He received his J.D. from UIC John Marshall Law School and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2015. In 2022, he was admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
