Michael Sturino
Mike Sturino was admitted to the bar in 1998, and is licensed to practice in Illinois and the Northern and Central Districts of the U.S. Circuit Court. He is also a certified land use planner, having earned his AICP status in 1998. His experience as an attorney includes transactional, litigation and general counsel for governmental and business entities. Mr. Sturino is well versed in drafting legislation, agreements, and opinion letters, and he has advised elected and appointed officials on wide-ranging matters including land use, zoning, community development, subdivision control, building code, contracts, annexation, civil rights, labor, employment, taxation, utilities, eminent domain, environment, open meetings, FOIA, ethics, campaign finance, and elections. He has provided administrative and litigation representation before federal courts, state courts and administrative agencies.
Mike Sturino is currently the President and CEO of the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association. In that capacity, he lead the strategic direction for the development and implementation of programs to serve 350‑plus construction and design firm owners and employees. Mr. Sturino previously served in a variety of municipal leadership roles in the public sector. He serves as the Chairman of the Village of Oak Park Plan Commission, and serves as advisor to and board member on a number of local, state and national transportation-related agencies and committees.
